Wesley Fofana, who has had his head turned by Chelsea’s continuous interest over the past few weeks, has revealed that his neck muscles are promising.
Of course, just because Fofana has realised this does not automatically imply that Leicester has as well. If anything, they are now even more adamant about keeping hold of their outstanding young center-back. The 21-year-old “grows frustrated” as a result, but the Foxes are adamant that it would take a world record fee (i.e., £80m+) to even get them to the negotiating table. Chelsea appears hesitant, and rightfully so, to both pay that much (and also saddle Fofana with that narrative tag).
Ben Chilwell, Danny Drinkwater, Harry McGuire, and other players from Leicester have all been involved in similar negotiations in the past few years, and they almost always resulted in a transfer agreement. Perhaps with a little more time and persistence, we can have a similar outcome in this case as well. Hopefully also without breaking any records.
