Robert Lewandowski Wins Best Fifa Men’s Player of the Year Award

Bayern Munich and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski have been named the Best Fifa Men’s Player of the Year for 2021.

Lewandowski, 33, won the award for the second straight year, scoring 69 goals.

Alexia Putellas of Barcelona was named the Best Fifa Women’s Player of the Year.

With 43 goals in 34 Bundesliga appearances, Lewandowski broke the late Gerd Muller’s 49-year Bundesliga record for most goals in a calendar year.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel won the Best Fifa Men’s Coach award for leading the club to their second Champions League title since joining in January.

Edouard Mendy of Chelsea won the Best Fifa Men’s Goalkeeper award following a successful first season with the club, which included a clean sheet in the club’s 1-0 Champions League final victory over Manchester City.
