Anthony Martial has agreed to join Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the season, subject to a medical.
There is no purchase option and no loan fee, but the Spanish club will pay the striker’s salaries.
The 26-year-old France forward has been a target of the Spanish club for several months.
He is believed to have indicated a willingness to take a pay cut to facilitate the deal’s completion.
Martial, who joined Monaco in 2015 for £36 million, has indicated to Ralf Rangnick that he desires a change of scenery.
That opinion has not changed despite the fact that Martial made his first appearance since interim United manager Rangnick took over when he came on as a substitute in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over West Ham.
Martial has appeared in 11 matches for United this season, scoring one goal against Everton on 2 October.
Sevilla are presently second in La Liga, four points behind champions Real Madrid with 16 games remaining.
Martial is one of several United players whose futures are unknown.
